An 8-week hands-on workshop teaching photography and videography skills specifically tailored for the entertainment and modeling industry. Students learn to capture compelling images and video content for model portfolios, music videos, event coverage, and social media content. This program bridges the gap between technical camera skills and creative storytelling for the entertainment world.
Week 1: Camera Fundamentals & Equipment
- DSLR and mirrorless camera basics
- Understanding exposure (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)
- Lens selection for different shoots
- Essential gear and budget-friendly alternatives
Week 2: Lighting for Portraits & Fashion
- Natural light photography techniques
- Studio lighting setups (one-light, two-light, three-light)
- Modifiers and reflectors
- Creating mood with lighting
Week 3: Portrait & Fashion Photography
- Directing models and subjects
- Composition and framing
- Capturing different looks and styles
- Location scouting and set design
Week 4: Videography Essentials
- Video camera settings and frame rates
- Stabilization techniques (gimbal, tripod, handheld)
- Audio capture basics
- Planning and storyboarding
Week 5: Content Creation & Social Media
- Creating content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube
- Short-form video techniques
- Reels, stories, and behind-the-scenes content
- Building a visual brand
Week 6: Post-Production & Editing
- Photo editing with Lightroom and Photoshop
- Video editing fundamentals
- Color grading and retouching
- Exporting for different platforms
Week 7: Live Event Coverage
- Shooting runway shows and performances
- Event photography techniques
- Working under pressure
- Delivering quick turnaround content
Week 8: Portfolio Building & Final Project

- Final project: Complete model portfolio shoot
- Showcase and certificate ceremony
20 sessions over 8 weeks. Tues & Thurs evenings, 6:00-7:15 PM. $800 tuition + $50 enrollment/insurance fee. Pay $950 at once or use 3-part payment plan.
