Comedy & Stand-Up Performance
An 8-week program for aspiring comedians and entertainers. Learn stand-up comedy writing, timing, delivery, improv techniques, and stage presence. Students will develop their own comedy set and perform at the quarterly showcase event. Perfect for those looking to break into comedy, hosting, or entertainment.
Week 1-2: Comedy Fundamentals — History of comedy, types of comedy, finding your voice and comedic style Week 3-4: Writing & Material Development — Joke structure, setups and punchlines, writing your first 5-minute set Week 5-6: Stage Presence & Delivery — Timing, crowd work, improv techniques, handling hecklers Week 7-8: Performance Preparation — Rehearsals, feedback sessions, final showcase performance
20 sessions over 8 weeks. Mon & Wed evenings, 7:30-8:45 PM. $800 tuition + $50 enrollment/insurance fee. Pay $950 at once or use 3-part payment plan.
