Advanced Cinematography & Visual Storytelling
A 6-week advanced program for photographers and videographers ready to elevate their craft. Focus on cinematic techniques, advanced lighting, music video production, and building a professional reel. Students will collaborate with modeling track students to create real portfolio content.
Curriculum
Week 1: Cinematic Camera Techniques
- Advanced camera movement and framing
- Cinematic aspect ratios and color science
- Anamorphic and specialty lenses
- Creating film-quality content
Week 2: Advanced Lighting Design
- Multi-light studio setups
- Creative and dramatic lighting
- Lighting for video vs. photography
- Working with gels and practical lights
Week 3: Music Video & Commercial Production
- Pre-production planning
- Directing talent on set
- Multi-camera setups
- Production workflow management
Week 4: Advanced Post-Production
- Professional color grading (DaVinci Resolve)
- Advanced retouching techniques
- Motion graphics and titles
- Sound design and mixing
Week 5: Building Your Brand & Business
- Pricing your services
- Client management and contracts
- Marketing yourself as a creative
- Building an online portfolio
Week 6: Final Production & Showcase
- Collaborative shoot with modeling students
- Final reel/portfolio presentation
- Industry networking event
- Certificate ceremony
Schedule & Details
20 sessions over 8 weeks. Tues & Thurs evenings, 6:00-7:15 PM. $800 tuition + $50 enrollment/insurance fee. Pay $950 at once or use 3-part payment plan.
